We offer a variety of solutions to becoming an MOT tester our courses range from preparing you for the VOSA NTTA exam, training and assessing you to complete the ATA Diagnostic Technician route or completing a program of study for a VRQ level 3 in motor vehicle maintenance and repair. All of which are recognised routes by VOSA to allow entry on to the MOT tester-training course.

Please NOTE:
In order to become an MOT tester you must have:
4 years experience as a mechanic
A full clean drivers licence
no convictions related to the motor trade
Over the 8 days you will cover 4 practical blocks, 4 evening assessment sessions and have been logged into our online e lerning system in rediness for your online exam.
The ATA DT is ideally suited for technicians who carry out diagnostics, repairs and wish to progress their skills in the areas below as well as a pre entry requirement to become an MOT tester.

Block B: Vehicle Electrics
Block C: ABS & SRS systems
Block D: Engine Diagnostics
IMI Membership and Certified Automotive Engineer status is avilable through the IMI after completion of your qualification/ accredetation.

The ATA LVI is ideally suited for technicians who carry out servicing and vehicle inspections and wish to become an MOT tester.

Block C: Engine Diagnostics & Emmission systems
Block D: Braking systems & vehicle appraisals
IMI Membership and Certified Automotive Engineer status is avilable through the IMI after completion of your qualification/ accredetation.
we run a comprahensive four day NTTA training course covering a large range of questions and subjects that VOSA cover to support you in passing the VOSA NTTA test.
Unlike the ATA routes you will need to take your examination at VOSA and such we cannot offer re assessments like the ATA options.
The NTTA is NOT A CERTIFIED ROUTE
Both the ATA routes are certified by the IMI and the National Diploma is certified by IMI Awards.
This six week intensive course covers a full level 3 qualification both theory and practical assessments over 6 x 1 week blocks spread over 6 months.

This three day course covers everything you need to know and do for the VOSA mot tester traiing course, your exam on using the VTS machine, Your exam on MOT tester procedures and your observation in the workplace.
If you are looking at starting your own MOT business we can support you with 1-1 individual training course, we start by analysing the key areas you require support from the key areas below and develop your skills over a blended approach between e learning and 1-1 coaching sessions on a weekly, bi weekley or montly basis.
